Ladies Golf Membership

Ladies' Academy Golf

If you are new to golf and considering joining a club for the first time, or perhaps returning to the sport after a long lay-off, our friendly Ladies’ Golf Academy offers a Pathway Programme to introduce you to the game and club.

Members of the Academy receive individual lessons from Blackmoor Golf Club’s resident professional Steve Clay and support from our friendly mentoring scheme.

Competitive Ladies Golf

If you are already a handicapped golfer and looking to improve your game, Blackmoor has a thriving competitive Ladies golf section with numerous midweek and weekend competitions.

Alongside the regular Tuesday ‘Ladies Day’, nearly every trophy played at Blackmoor has a midweek and weekend tee sheet and produces combined winners. This inclusive and highly flexible approach to ladies’ golf, which is particularly beneficial to ladies with active careers, provides members with far more opportunities to play golf, enter competitions and develop their game.

National Team Competition

As well as individual competitions Blackmoor hosts and subscribes to many team competitions held at county and national level.

For the lower handicapped golfer, Blackmoor participates in the North Hants Trophy and the recently formed Alresford Scratch competition. For the low to medium handicapper the Stoneham cup is fiercely contested every year, whilst the higher handicappers play for the popular Hayling Trophy.

Nationally, Blackmoor also plays in the Matchplay Golf Annodata competition, the only National Golf Club Team event in the UK, reaching the quarter finals in recent years.

Social Golf

Many ladies choose to play golf for the social interaction and exercise and membership of Blackmoor Golf Club equally appeals to ladies who like a friendly game of golf with their partner and other ladies.

If you are a handicapped golfer and prefer to play without the competition element, at Blackmoor you will enjoy a weekly Ladies Day, midweek and weekend tee times, all year round golf on a top 100 course, exceptional clubhouse facilities and a host of social events and activities. You may also choose to join one of the more relaxed, mix friendly competitions, or simply play 18-holes with friends.

More than Golf

Being a member of Blackmoor Golf Club is about so much more than playing golf and all our members and visitors receive a very warm welcome. The ladies’ section hosts regular open days and events, and our Ladies’ Captain and Lady Vice Captain will be happy to introduce you to the club and course.
