Attracting both International and Walker Cup Players, the Selborne Salver is one of Britain’s premier amateur tournaments and has been played in its present form at Blackmoor since 1976.

Normally, the Selborne Salver is linked with the Hampshire Hog, which is played the next day at North Hants. The player with the lowest 72-holes total receives the Hampshire Salver. This is a World Ranking event.

This year, However, North Hants are carrying out extensive course renovation and will not be available. Blackmoor is pleased to announce that in order to maintain a 4-round tournament for the Hampshire Salver we will host both days. Therefore, 36 Holes will be played on Friday 11th April on our course and another 36-Holes on Saturday 12th April as normal. As is tradition, The Selborne Salver will still be a stand-alone 36-Hole competition. Friday’s event will also be a separate 36-Hole Competition.

• Total Prize Fund in excess of £2,500.
• Scratch Prizes Only.
• Field Limited to 72 players.
• In the event of the number of entries being more than 72, players will be selected on handicap merit.
• The Committee reserves the right to nominate players.
• Entrants must provide their CDH lifetime number, email & mobile number.
• We reserve the right to use the England Golf Championship Entry Policy (General Play Scores).
• Practice Rounds - Competitors will be offered a practice round on either Wednesday 9th or Thursday 10th April by prior arrangement with the Club. Call the Pro Shop on 01420 472345. 
• Acceptance into the competition and starting times will be advised in due course. The Competition Committee's decision shall be final.
• Entry Fee - £150 (Members £90) - including a two-course lunch both days. Payment online (Fees refunded if you are balloted out) Closing Date – Sunday 16th March 2025. Fees will not be refunded once the draw has been made. We will produce a reserve list, again on Handicap merit. Players not making it into the event will be refunded ASAP after the competition in order to make administration easier.
